Student applications to the Summer Institute must include:
A 250-300 word Statement of Interest (in which students explain why they would like to participate in the program)
A letter of recommendation from a professor or dean
Most recent copy of the student’s unofficial academic transcript

Applications will be evaluated by a committee of department faculty and admissions staff based on prior academic performance, the quality of Statement of Interest, and completed recommendation forms.
