Georgetown University Hoya Summer Sessions offers partial tuition scholarship awards strictly to visiting undergraduate and graduate students, as well as new incoming first-year and transfer students, enrolled in Hoya Summer Sessions courses on a first-come, first-served basis.
Awards are limited and enrollment-based. This scholarship only covers tuition and does not provide for: course fees; travel; room fees; tutorials; or English as a foreign language, or study abroad courses.
Partial tuition scholarships are non-refundable and non-transferable. While applications are accepted at any point in the enrollment process, your application will not be reviewed until you have been accepted to Georgetown University Hoya Summer Sessions.
If your course selection changes for any reason, you will need to re-submit a new partial tuition scholarship application that reflects the changes made in your summer course schedule. If you must drop the awarded courses, you must let Hoya Summer Sessions know so any applicable financial implications can be determined.
Hoya Summer Sessions will begin reviewing and awarding all partial tuition scholarship applications in March. Awards for Main Pre-Session, 6-week Sessions I and II, Main First Session, Cross Session, and Full/Special Session will be posted to student accounts the first week of May. Awards for Main Second Session will be posted to student accounts the first full week of July. Awards cannot be posted until students have registered for their summer courses.
Please note: Visiting students who are attending via the Consortium or the Honors Institute are not eligible to apply. Only accurately completed partial tuition scholarship applications will be reviewed.
