The Georgetown University Summer Institute in Law is an on-campus summer program designed to provide currently matriculated Georgetown undergraduate students with an elite-level academic experience while offering a packaged price.
The Institute will introduce students interested in law school as well as those interested in law-adjacent fields (e.g., criminal justice, advocacy) to the study of law, the legal profession, and legal systems. It will offer the opportunity to engage in interdisciplinary study of the law while obtaining firsthand exposure to legal professionals and settings that would likely not be possible during the standard academic year.
Schedule
10-week program running Jun 2–Aug 7, 2025
Ideal for
Current undergraduate students interested in pursuing a career in law or law-related fields.
Price
The total cost for the 10-week Summer Institute is $26,000, including tuition for 12 credits along with housing and a 14-meal weekly plan. The tuition-only price for 12 credits is $24,000. Financial aid is available for eligible students.
Upon Completing the Program
At the end of the 10-week Georgetown Summer Institute in Law, students will gain 12 credits, and a firsthand understanding of what it means to study and practice law in Washington, D.C., at the highest level. Students will be well-equipped to decide whether pursuing a law degree is in their future.
